Where is the Great Rift Valley located?

The Great Rift Valley is located in eastern Africa, stretching from northern Syria to central Mozambique. It spans several countries, including Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. This geological feature was formed by tectonic activity as the African Plate and the Somali Plate slowly move apart. The valley is characterised by stunning landscapes, including mountains, lakes, and volcanoes, and is rich in biodiversity. It is also significant for human history, as some of the oldest hominid fossils have been discovered there.
