What countries does Mali border?

Mali, located in West Africa, shares borders with seven countries. The total length of Mali’s border is approximately 7,243 kilometres. To the north, it borders Algeria (1,376 km) and to the east, it shares borders with Niger (821 km). To the south, Mali borders Burkina Faso (1,000 km), Côte d’Ivoire (532 km), and Guinea (858 km). To the west, Mali shares a border with Senegal (419 km) and Mauritania (2,237 km). Mali’s vast interior, which includes the Sahara Desert, has historically made it a crossroads for trade and cultural exchange in West Africa.
