How do buffaloes live?
- ๐๏ธ 8
Buffaloes are large herbivores found in Africa and Asia, often living in grasslands, wetlands, and savannas. They feed on grasses, reeds, and other vegetation, grazing in large quantities to meet their high caloric needs. Buffaloes are social animals and live in herds, which are led by dominant females. These herds provide protection from predators like lions and hyenas, which are a constant threat. Buffaloes reproduce sexually, with females giving birth to a single calf after a gestation period of about 9 months. Calves are able to stand and walk shortly after birth, and mothers are highly protective of their young.
