How do wasps live?
- ๐๏ธ 15
Wasps are flying insects found worldwide, with many species living in colonies or individually. They are carnivorous or omnivorous, feeding on nectar, fruits, and the larvae of other insects, which they often catch and paralyze using their venom. Social wasps, like yellowjackets and hornets, live in large colonies with a single queen, worker wasps, and male wasps. Each colony is built in hollow trees, underground, or in man-made structures, and it grows through the summer. In the fall, only the queen survives, hibernating until spring. Solitary wasps, on the other hand, build individual nests and care for their young alone. Wasps reproduce by laying eggs that hatch into larvae, which grow into adult wasps, continuing the cycle.
