How do sea turtles navigate across oceans?

Sea turtles navigate across oceans using a variety of natural cues. They rely on Earth’s magnetic field to orient themselves, a phenomenon known as magnetoreception. Juvenile sea turtles imprint on the magnetic fields of their natal beaches, helping them navigate back to these areas to breed as adults.
