How do frogs catch their prey?
- ๐๏ธ 16
Frogs catch their prey using their long, sticky tongues. The tongue is attached at the front of their mouth, allowing it to extend rapidly and reach prey at a distance. When a frog spots an insect, it flicks its tongue out with incredible speedโless than a second. The tongue’s sticky surface traps the prey, which is then quickly retracted into the mouth. Frogs also rely on their excellent vision to detect and target fast-moving insects.
