How do bobcats live?
- ๐๏ธ 6
Bobcats are solitary carnivorous mammals native to North America, primarily found in forests, deserts, and suburban areas. They are skilled hunters, preying on rabbits, birds, and rodents. Bobcats are territorial and have a home range that they defend against other bobcats. They are excellent climbers and swimmers, often seeking shelter in trees or dens. Bobcats are mainly nocturnal, hunting at night and resting during the day. They reproduce once a year, with females giving birth to 2-4 kittens after a gestation period of about 2 months. The kittens are raised in a den and are taught to hunt by their mother until they are ready to become independent.
