How do warthogs live?
- ๐๏ธ 6
Warthogs are wild pigs found in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in savannas, grasslands, and woodlands. They are omnivorous, feeding on grasses, roots, fruits, and occasionally small animals or carrion. Warthogs are well-adapted to living in hot, dry environments and often seek shelter in burrows dug by other animals, such as aardvarks, during the hottest parts of the day. They are social animals, living in groups called sounders, which usually consist of females and their offspring. Males are solitary except during the breeding season. Warthogs reproduce once a year, with females giving birth to 1-4 piglets after a gestation period of about 5-6 months.
