Why do some animals have camouflage?

  • ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ 12

Animals have camouflage to blend into their environment and avoid predators or to enhance their hunting abilities. Camouflage allows animals to remain hidden from both predators and prey by mimicking their surroundings. For example, the snowshoe hare changes its coat to white in winter to blend with the snow, while the chameleon can change its colour to match the surrounding environment. Some animals, like octopuses, use dynamic camouflage to shift their colour and texture instantly, providing them with excellent protection in their habitats.
