How do sea otters live?

Sea otters are marine mammals found in the coastal waters of the North Pacific Ocean. They live in kelp forests, where they play a vital role in maintaining the health of these ecosystems. Sea otters are carnivorous and feed primarily on invertebrates such as sea urchins, crabs, and clams, as well as fish and octopuses. They are known for their dexterity and intelligence, using rocks and other tools to crack open shells and access their food. Sea otters are highly social animals, often found in groups called rafts, which can range from a few individuals to hundreds. They have thick fur to insulate them from the cold, as they lack a layer of blubber. Sea otters reproduce sexually, with females giving birth to a single pup after a gestation period of about 6 months. Pups are raised by the mother and stay with her until they are old enough to swim and hunt independently.
