How do snow leopards live?

Snow leopards are large, solitary cats native to the mountain ranges of Central and South Asia, including the Himalayas and the Tibetan Plateau. They are perfectly adapted to cold, high-altitude environments, with thick fur, a long tail for balance, and large paws that help them navigate deep snow. Snow leopards are carnivores, primarily preying on mountain ungulates such as blue sheep, ibex, and marmots, as well as smaller mammals and birds. They are stealthy hunters and rely on their camouflage to stalk their prey from a distance, using rocky terrain for cover. Snow leopards are solitary creatures and are highly territorial, with males and females coming together only for mating. They reproduce sexually, with females giving birth to 1-3 cubs after a gestation period of about 90-100 days. The cubs are born blind and rely on their mother for survival during the first few months of life.
