How do seahorses live?

Seahorses are small, aquatic fish found in shallow coastal waters, typically in seagrass beds, coral reefs, and mangrove forests. They are known for their upright swimming posture and horse-like head, and they spend much of their time clinging to plants or coral with their prehensile tails. Seahorses are carnivores, feeding on small crustaceans, plankton, and other tiny marine organisms. They have a unique reproductive system in which males carry the fertilized eggs in a specialized brood pouch. Once the eggs hatch, the male gives birth to miniature seahorses, which are independent from birth. Seahorses are not fast swimmers and rely on their camouflage and their ability to blend into their environment to avoid predators. They are solitary by nature, although they may gather in small groups during mating seasons. Seahorses are vulnerable to habitat destruction, overfishing, and the pet trade.
