How do red foxes live?

Red foxes are highly adaptable carnivores found across North America, Europe, and parts of Asia. They live in a wide range of habitats, including forests, grasslands, mountains, and urban areas. Red foxes are opportunistic feeders, consuming a diet that includes small mammals, birds, insects, fruits, and berries. They are solitary animals but are known to form family groups during the breeding season. Red foxes are known for their keen hunting skills and use their excellent sense of hearing and smell to locate prey. They are highly territorial and mark their territory with scent glands to communicate with other foxes. Red foxes reproduce sexually, with females giving birth to 4-6 kits after a gestation period of about 52 days. The kits are cared for by both parents and are weaned at around 8 weeks.
