How do leopards live?
- ๐๏ธ 9
Leopards are carnivorous big cats found in various habitats across sub-Saharan Africa and parts of Asia. They are solitary animals and are highly territorial, marking their territory with scent markings and scratches. Leopards are skilled climbers and often carry their prey up into trees to protect it from scavengers. Their diet consists mainly of mammals, birds, and occasionally reptiles, and they hunt primarily at night (nocturnal). Leopards can go without food for several days if necessary, as they are capable of eating large meals at once. They reproduce once a year, with females giving birth to 2-3 cubs after a gestation period of about 90-105 days.
