Why do some birds migrate?

Birds migrate to take advantage of seasonal changes in food availability, climate, and breeding conditions. In colder months, birds move to warmer regions where food is abundant and temperatures are more suitable for survival. Migrating also allows birds to find ideal breeding grounds in the spring when resources are more plentiful. During migration, birds follow specific routes and use environmental cues, such as the position of the sun, stars, and the Earth’s magnetic field, to navigate long distances.
