How do chimpanzees live?

Chimpanzees are highly intelligent primates found in the rainforests and woodlands of West and Central Africa. They live in large communities, ranging from 20 to over 100 individuals, with complex social structures. Chimpanzees are omnivores and have a varied diet that includes fruits, leaves, seeds, insects, and small mammals. They use tools to extract food, such as using sticks to fish for termites or cracking nuts with stones. Chimpanzees are primarily arboreal but spend a significant amount of time on the ground, foraging for food, socializing, and building nests in trees for sleeping. They are highly social and communicate through vocalizations, facial expressions, and body language. Chimpanzees reproduce sexually, with females giving birth to a single offspring after a gestation period of about 230 days. The young are cared for by their mothers until they reach adolescence.
