How do beavers live?

  • ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ 20

Beavers are large, semi-aquatic rodents found in North America, Europe, and parts of Asia. They live in family groups, constructing elaborate lodges made of sticks and mud along rivers, streams, and ponds. Beavers are known for their ability to fell trees and use the wood to build their homes and dams, which they construct to create ponds where they can store food and protect themselves from predators. They are herbivores, feeding on the bark of trees, aquatic plants, and shrubs. Beavers are highly industrious animals, working tirelessly to maintain their dams and lodges. They reproduce sexually, with females giving birth to litters of 1-4 kits after a gestation period of about 3 months. Kits stay with their parents for several years, learning how to build and maintain the dams before becoming independent.
