How do pheasants live?
- ๐๏ธ 7
Pheasants are ground-dwelling birds native to Asia, but they have been introduced to other regions around the world, including North America and Europe. Pheasants are omnivorous, feeding on a variety of seeds, fruits, insects, and small invertebrates. They are social birds, often found in small groups, but they are also known to be solitary during the breeding season. Male pheasants are known for their vibrant plumage, which they display to attract females. Mating occurs in the spring, and after a gestation period of about 3 weeks, the female lays 8-15 eggs. She incubates the eggs alone and raises the chicks on her own, teaching them to forage and avoid predators.
