How do deer live?
- ๐๏ธ 7
Deer are herbivorous mammals found in forests, grasslands, and wetlands around the world. They are social animals that live in groups called herds, although some species are solitary. Deer are grazers, feeding on grasses, shrubs, fruits, and leaves. They are prey animals, and their keen senses of sight, hearing, and smell help them detect predators. Deer are often active during dawn and dusk, as they are crepuscular animals. Mating occurs during the fall, and after a gestation period of about 6-9 months, females give birth to one or two fawns. The young are nursed by their mothers and are protected until they can join the herd.
