How do gorillas live?
- ๐๏ธ 14
Gorillas are large herbivorous primates native to the forests of central Africa. They are primarily found in tropical rainforests, where they live in family groups called troops, led by a dominant silverback male. Gorillas feed mainly on vegetation, such as leaves, stems, fruits, and bamboo shoots. Their diet is high in fiber, and they consume up to 40 pounds of food each day to meet their nutritional needs. Gorillas are generally peaceful and social, with strong bonds formed between group members. They spend a lot of time resting, foraging, and socializing. Gorillas reproduce sexually, with females giving birth to a single infant after a gestation period of about 8.5 months. Infants are cared for by their mothers and stay with the group as they grow.
