What is the largest species of snake?

  • ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ 11

The largest species of snake is the green anaconda (Eunectes murinus), native to the swamps and rivers of South America. Green anacondas can grow up to 9 meters (30 feet) in length and weigh as much as 250 kilograms (550 pounds). These massive constrictor snakes are primarily aquatic and use their powerful bodies to subdue prey, such as fish, birds, and even large mammals. Despite their size, green anacondas are not venomous and kill their prey by squeezing and suffocating it.
