How do woodlice live?
- ๐๏ธ 25
Woodlice, also known as pill bugs or sow bugs, are small crustaceans found in damp environments like leaf litter, soil, and decaying wood. They are detritivores, feeding on dead plant material, fungi, and decaying organic matter. Woodlice are nocturnal and prefer moist conditions to prevent dehydration. They have a hard exoskeleton that they can roll into a ball when threatened. Woodlice reproduce by laying eggs, which hatch into small juvenile woodlice that resemble adults. These creatures play an important role in decomposing organic material, recycling nutrients back into the soil.
