How do camels survive without water for long periods?

  • ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ 13

Camels are highly adapted to survive in arid environments with limited water. They can survive for long periods without water due to several physiological adaptations. Camels can store large amounts of water in their bodies, especially in their bloodstream, and they can drink up to 40 gallons (150 liters) of water at once when they rehydrate. Their thick fur insulates them from the heat, and they have specialized kidneys that minimize water loss. Camels also conserve moisture by producing dry feces and limiting water loss through sweat.
