How do quails live?

Quails are small game birds found in forests, grasslands, and agricultural areas across the world. They are omnivores, feeding on seeds, fruits, insects, and small invertebrates. Quails are ground-dwelling birds, often hiding in dense vegetation to avoid predators. They are social birds, living in small groups called coveys, especially during the non-breeding season. Quails are known for their distinctive call and their ability to take off in short bursts of flight to escape danger. They reproduce once a year, with females laying 8-12 eggs in a ground nest. After hatching, the chicks are cared for by both parents until they can fly.
