How do bison live?
- ๐๏ธ 6
Bison are large herbivorous mammals found in North America and parts of Europe. They primarily graze on grasses and herbs, consuming vast amounts of food each day, particularly in the summer months. Bison live in herds, which can range from small family units to large groups during migration. They are known for their seasonal migrations, where they move across open plains to find food and avoid harsh weather conditions. Bison reproduce sexually, with males competing for dominance in breeding season. After a gestation period of about 9 months, females give birth to a single calf, which they protect and nurse until it is old enough to join the herd.
