How do sea turtles live?

  • ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ 12

Sea turtles are large reptiles that spend the majority of their lives in the ocean, primarily in tropical and subtropical waters around the world. They are known for their long migrations, traveling thousands of miles between their feeding grounds and nesting beaches. Sea turtles are omnivorous, feeding on a variety of marine creatures such as jellyfish, crabs, seaweed, and small fish. They have specialized adaptations for life in the water, including streamlined shells and strong flippers that allow them to swim long distances. Sea turtles reproduce sexually, with females returning to the beaches where they were born to lay their eggs. After mating, the female digs a nest in the sand, where she lays dozens of eggs. After about two months of incubation, the eggs hatch, and the baby turtles make their way to the ocean, where they face many challenges as they grow.
