How do impalas live?

  • ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ 16

Impalas are medium-sized antelopes found in open woodlands and grasslands across eastern and southern Africa. They are herbivores, grazing on grasses, leaves, and shoots, and are known for their agility and speed. Impalas live in herds, which are typically segregated by sex. Males form bachelor groups while females live in larger herds with their young. Impalas are known for their impressive jumping ability, often leaping to avoid predators. Their primary predators include lions, cheetahs, and wild dogs. Impalas reproduce seasonally, with males competing for the attention of females during the rut. After a gestation period of about 6-7 months, females give birth to a single calf.
