How do starfish move?
- ๐๏ธ 5
Starfish, also known as sea stars, move using a unique system of tube feet located on the underside of their arms. These tube feet are part of the starfish’s water vascular system, which uses water pressure to control their movement. The tube feet grip surfaces and allow the starfish to slowly crawl across the ocean floor. Starfish can move in any direction, and their slow, steady movement helps them search for food such as mollusks, sea urchins, and other small marine creatures.
