Why do some animals have nocturnal behaviour?

  • ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ 20

Some animals exhibit nocturnal behaviour to avoid predators, conserve water, or take advantage of cooler temperatures. Nocturnal animals are adapted to thrive in the dark, with enhanced senses like acute hearing, smell, and night vision. For example, owls, bats, and some rodents are nocturnal because it helps them hunt for food or find shelter when their predators are less active. Additionally, nocturnal behaviour allows them to reduce their exposure to the heat of the day, which is particularly important in hot environments.
