Where are the world’s driest places located?

The world’s driest places are found in the Atacama Desert in Chile and the McMurdo Dry Valleys in Antarctica. The Atacama Desert, located along the western coast of South America, receives very little rainfall, with some areas going without rain for over 400 years. The McMurdo Dry Valleys in Antarctica are the driest desert on Earth, with no precipitation at all for millions of years, and they experience extremely low humidity. Both regions are considered some of the harshest environments on Earth due to their extreme dryness and lack of water sources.
