Where is Mount Everest located?

Mount Everest is located in the Himalayan mountain range on the border between Nepal and the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. It is the highest peak in the world, standing at 8,848.86 metres (29,031.7 feet) above sea level. Known as “Sagarmatha” in Nepali and “Chomolungma” in Tibetan, the mountain has cultural and spiritual significance for local communities.
