  • 👁️ 6

Algeria, located in North Africa, shares borders with seven countries. The total length of Algeria’s border is approximately 6,343 kilometres. To the northeast, it borders Tunisia (965 km) and Libya (1,000 km). To the west, it shares borders with Morocco (1,559 km) and Western Sahara (41 km), and to the south, it borders Mauritania (463 km), Mali (1,376 km), and Niger (951 km). Algeria’s vast desert landscapes, especially the Sahara, dominate its southern regions, and its position in the Maghreb region makes it a key player in both North African and Mediterranean geopolitics.
