What countries does South Korea border?

  • 👁️ 6

South Korea is located on the Korean Peninsula in East Asia and shares a border with one country, North Korea. The total length of the border between South Korea and North Korea is approximately 248 kilometres. This heavily militarized border, known as the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), runs across the peninsula and separates the two countries following the Korean War. South Korea also has coastlines along the Yellow Sea to the west and the Sea of Japan (East Sea) to the east, giving it access to important shipping routes.
