The Colosseum is located in Rome, Italy. It is an iconic amphitheatre built during the Roman Empire, completed in 80 CE under Emperor Titus. The Colosseum could hold up to 50,000 spectators and was used for gladiatorial contests, public spectacles, and theatrical performances. Constructed with concrete and stone, it is a masterpiece of ancient engineering and architecture.
