How do zebras live?

Zebras are herbivorous mammals found in the grasslands and savannas of Africa. They live in social groups called herds, which are led by a dominant mare. Zebras are known for their black-and-white striped coats, which help them blend into the grasslands and confuse predators. They primarily feed on grasses, but they may also consume shrubs and other vegetation. Zebras are constantly grazing and need to eat large amounts of food each day to meet their nutritional needs. While they are preyed upon by lions, hyenas, and crocodiles, zebras are also known for their agility and ability to run at high speeds to escape danger. They reproduce sexually, with females giving birth to a single foal after a gestation period of about 12 months. Foals are born standing and can run within hours, providing them with a better chance of survival.
