How do mongooses live?
- ๐๏ธ 5
Mongooses are small carnivorous mammals found in Africa, Asia, and parts of Europe. They are often found in savannas, grasslands, and forests, where they live in groups or as solitary individuals. Mongooses are opportunistic feeders, eating a diet that includes insects, small mammals, birds, and fruits. Some species are also known to hunt venomous snakes, such as cobras, using their quick reflexes to avoid strikes. Mongooses communicate using vocalizations, scent-marking, and body language. They reproduce sexually, with females giving birth to litters of 2-4 young after a gestation period of 60-70 days. The young are cared for by both parents and other group members.
