How do sea lions live?

  • ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ 7

Sea lions are marine mammals found along coastlines in North America, South America, and Australia. They are highly social animals and live in large colonies on land, often gathering on beaches or rocky outcrops. Sea lions are excellent swimmers, using their flippers to propel themselves through the water while hunting for fish, squid, and other marine creatures. They are known for their playful behavior and their ability to “walk” on land by rotating their hind flippers forward. Sea lions reproduce sexually, with males defending territories on the land and females giving birth to a single pup after a gestation period of about 11 months. The pups are nursed by their mothers for about six months before becoming more independent.
