How do mountain goats live?

  • ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ 9

Mountain goats are large herbivorous mammals native to the rocky mountain ranges of North America, particularly in the high-altitude regions of the Rocky Mountains. They are excellent climbers and are well adapted to life in rugged, mountainous terrain. Mountain goats feed primarily on grasses, shrubs, and mosses, often grazing in alpine meadows or on steep slopes. They are known for their sure-footedness, using their hooves to grip rocky surfaces. These animals live in herds, with females and young forming one group and males forming another, coming together during the mating season. Females give birth to one kid, usually in the spring, and the young stay with their mothers until they are old enough to join the herd.
