How do bees live?
- ๐๏ธ 10
Bees are highly social insects found on every continent except Antarctica, and they are essential pollinators for many plants and crops. They live in hives or colonies, which are structured around a single queen, worker bees, and drones. Worker bees forage for nectar and pollen, using their long tongues to extract nectar from flowers and transport it back to the hive. Bees require constant access to food, collecting pollen and nectar from a variety of plants throughout the day. They reproduce by mating, with the queen laying eggs that hatch into larvae, which then develop into new bees. Bees communicate with each other through the “waggle dance,” indicating the location of food sources.
