How do ostriches live?

  • ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ 9

Ostriches are large flightless birds native to Africa, particularly in open savannas and deserts. They are the fastest-running birds, capable of reaching speeds up to 70 km/h (43 mph) over short distances. Ostriches are omnivores and feed on a variety of plants, seeds, fruits, and insects. They have a highly efficient digestive system that allows them to extract nutrients from tough plant material. Ostriches are social animals, living in groups that can range from 5 to 50 individuals. They reproduce sexually, with females laying large eggs in communal nests. The eggs are incubated by both males and females, and after 6-8 weeks, the chicks hatch.
