How do wildebeests live?

  • ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ 6

Wildebeests are large herbivores native to the grasslands and savannas of sub-Saharan Africa. They primarily feed on grasses, grazing in large herds that migrate seasonally in search of food and water. Wildebeests are known for their impressive migratory behavior, traveling long distances in search of fresh grazing grounds during the dry season. They are social animals, living in large herds that can number thousands of individuals. During migration, they face numerous predators, including lions, hyenas, and crocodiles. Wildebeests reproduce once a year, with females giving birth to a single calf after a gestation period of about 8 months. Calves are born during the rainy season and can stand and walk shortly after birth.
