How do horses live?

Horses are large herbivorous mammals that have been domesticated and live in a wide variety of habitats, including grasslands, plains, and farms. Wild horses live in herds, with a social structure led by a dominant mare, while domesticated horses are often kept in stables or pastures. Horses are grazers and primarily feed on grasses, hay, and grains, requiring a large quantity of food to sustain their energy. They also need plenty of water each day, as they can drink up to 10 gallons of water in a single sitting. Horses are known for their speed, agility, and endurance, which made them useful for transport and work. They are social animals, often forming close bonds with other horses or even humans. Horses reproduce sexually, with mares giving birth to a single foal after a gestation period of about 11 months. Foals are born able to stand and walk shortly after birth, and they stay with their mothers for several months before becoming independent.
