  • ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ 10

Penicillin was discovered by Alexander Fleming in 1928. Fleming, a Scottish bacteriologist, noticed that a mold called Penicillium notatum had killed bacteria in a petri dish in his laboratory. He realized that the mold produced a substance that could fight bacterial infections, and he named it penicillin. His discovery was groundbreaking in the field of medicine and led to the development of antibiotics, which revolutionized the treatment of bacterial infections and saved countless lives.
