How do lynxes live?
- ๐๏ธ 7
Lynxes are carnivorous felines found in forests, mountains, and tundra regions of North America, Europe, and Asia. They are solitary hunters, known for their sharp eyesight and powerful hind legs that help them leap great distances to catch prey. Lynxes primarily hunt small to medium-sized mammals, such as rabbits, hares, and birds, and are capable of hunting during the day or night. They have large paws, which act as snowshoes in cold climates. Lynxes are territorial animals and mark their range with scent markings. They reproduce once a year, with females giving birth to 1-4 cubs after a gestation period of around 60-70 days.
