How do sharks live?

  • ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ 7

Sharks are carnivorous fish found in oceans and seas worldwide, from shallow coastal waters to the deep ocean. They are apex predators, playing an essential role in maintaining marine ecosystem balance. Sharks feed on a wide variety of prey, including fish, seals, squid, and even smaller sharks. They are highly efficient hunters, using their sharp teeth, excellent sense of smell, and keen eyesight to detect prey. Sharks are known for their migratory behavior, with many species traveling vast distances to find food or mate. They are solitary hunters, although some species form schools or large groups for certain activities. Sharks reproduce sexually, with different species having varying reproductive strategies, such as laying eggs (oviparous), giving birth to live young (viviparous), or a combination of both. Depending on the species, the gestation period can last from several months to over two years.
