How do seahorses reproduce?

Seahorses have a unique form of reproduction in which the males carry and give birth to the young. During mating, the female seahorse transfers her eggs into the male’s brood pouch, where he fertilizes them. The male then carries the eggs until they hatch into tiny seahorse fry.
