How do barn owls live?

Barn owls are nocturnal birds of prey found in a variety of habitats, including woodlands, grasslands, and farmland. They hunt small mammals, especially rodents, by silently gliding through the night sky and using their excellent hearing to locate prey. Barn owls are known for their distinctive heart-shaped faces, which help funnel sound to their ears. They nest in tree cavities, abandoned buildings, and other sheltered locations. Barn owls usually lay 3-7 eggs, and both parents take turns incubating the eggs. The chicks are fed a diet of small mammals and are cared for by the parents until they are ready to fledge. Barn owls are territorial and often mate for life.
