How do penguins stay warm in cold environments?
- ๐๏ธ 11
Penguins are well adapted to survive in the freezing temperatures of the Antarctic and other cold environments. They have a thick layer of blubber beneath their skin that insulates them from the cold. Their dense, waterproof feathers trap heat and keep cold water from reaching their skin. Penguins also huddle together in large groups to conserve body heat and reduce exposure to the cold winds. These adaptations allow penguins to thrive in some of the harshest environments on Earth.
