How do iguanas live?
- ๐๏ธ 9
Iguanas are large herbivorous reptiles found in Central and South America, as well as some Caribbean islands. They are primarily arboreal, spending much of their time in trees, although some species are terrestrial. Iguanas feed on a variety of plants, including leaves, flowers, and fruits. They are cold-blooded animals and rely on their environment to regulate their body temperature, basking in the sun to stay warm. Iguanas live in social groups, although they can also be solitary. They reproduce by laying eggs, with females often digging burrows to deposit their eggs. Incubation lasts for several months, and the young iguanas hatch fully formed and ready to fend for themselves.
