How do antelopes live?
- ๐๏ธ 7
Antelopes are herbivores found in various habitats, from savannas to grasslands and deserts, primarily across Africa and parts of Asia. They feed on grasses, leaves, shrubs, and sometimes fruits. The amount of food they consume varies depending on their size, but they generally graze several hours each day. Antelopes are preyed upon by large carnivores like lions and cheetahs, so they have evolved to be fast and agile. They typically live in herds that offer protection and social structure, with males and females often leading separate lives. Antelopes reproduce sexually with a gestation period of around 8-9 months, giving birth to one calf. The calves are usually born during the rainy season when food is abundant.
